Zero Latency VR
Zero Latency VR is coming up on their one-year anniversary at Salmon Run Mall and Najib Abou Ismail, owner of the virtual reality gaming facility located in Center Court, definitely filled a missing piece in the Watertown market, and at the mall. He originally went into business in 2017, and loved the proximity to Fort Drum and saw there was nothing for entertainment in the area, so that’s how he chose Salmon Run Mall for a location to open Zero Latency VR.
“The mall is the center of everything”, stated Najib, “and the mall supports small business, which is important.”
So, what exactly is Zero Latency VR? It’s virtual reality fun for all ages with many gaming options to choose from. No experience necessary! Put on the VR headset, strap into the backpack and pickup the controller. You and your friends are about to be transported into the virtual world! Once in, you’re free to move and explore as you please – comfortably and naturally, just like you do in the real world. You’re completely untethered. There aren’t any wires or walls to get in the way of your virtual reality adventures.
Zero Latency VR has 55 locations in 24 countries. In the United States there are 10 facilities, and one of those is is located in Watertown, NY! Najib’s advice to anyone starting out with their own business, “know what the need in the market is, stay away from ‘trends’ and create value for your customers.”
Walkins are welcome, however reservations are recommended to decrease on wait times. Plan on spending about 30-45 minutes per gaming session – this includes sign in, instruction on the equipment and game time. Zero Latency follows and adheres to strict sanitizing standards as well, which takes time in between games, another reason reservations are encouraged.
